First-Generation Therapeutics

Metabolic Solutions has begun significant work in the development of therapeutic solutions for the treatment of diseases related to metabolic syndrome. Our lead compound, MSDC-0160, and our first two combinations are intended for the treatment of diabetes and hypertension.

In addition, we plan to introduce combinations with ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and lipid-lowering statins.

We have filed three PCT patents covering MSDC-0160 and combination products for the treatment of metabolic diseases, hypertension, and inflammation.

Second-Generation Therapeutics

Our key longer-term scientific premise is to attack the cardiometabolic risk factors early, at their cause, to prevent disease. Our second-generation products and related analogs will further reduce PPARγ activity. They are being evaluated for impact on diabetes and other diseases caused by metabolic inflammation – including neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and COPD.

Substantial second-generation development is in process, with provisional patents under way.
